Government of Manitoba Lifeflight Cessna S550 Citation C-FEMA

The Government of Manitoba Lifeflight service is an important asset in the province of Manitoba. The service transports hundreds of patients a year from rural Manitoba and sends patients to other provinces for life-saving organ transplants. C-FEMA is a Cessna S550 Citation and a regular fixture at YWG. Lifeflight operates out of the Government of Manitoba Air Services Hanger T5.

More than 156,000 tonnes of cargo moved through Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport in 2007, a 60% increase over 2001.

Here is a look at one of our resident aircraft parked by the Esso Avitat FBO on ramp 2. This is a 1977 Cessna A185F ,  C-GXVA. YWG is home to a small number of General Aviation aircraft. The majority of GA aircraft in the area are keep at other local airports such as Lyncrest CJL5 or St. Andrews CYAV.

The ident is N8924B and it's only a matter of time before it gets painted to Delta colors. Northwest has served YWG for many years until they recently merged with Delta. It's a 55 seat aircraft which was built in 2004.
